Our Ceremonial Rooms
We have 4 ceremonial rooms to choose from

The Orangery
With views across the gardens and an abundance of natural light, The Orangery is made for beautiful beginnings.
It is our most popular ceremony room and can host 70 guests.
After your Ceremony, you are led out to our Confetti Walk for your confetti moment. We will then turn The Orangery around so that you and your guests can gather in the gardens and in The Orangery for your reception drinks. It also becomes the perfect backdrop for your photos.
The Charrington
The Charrington is where everyone comes together for your Wedding breakfast.
A beautiful and elegant setting for your wedding breakfast, where exceptional food from our in house chefs will be served, and great conversation and the company of those you love take centre stage.
The Charrington is also licensed for ceremonies for up to 90 Day Guests so you can have a bigger celebration throughout the Day. We will turn the room around for the Wedding Breakfast if you choose to say ‘I Do’ in this wonderful Room that truly leaves a lasting impression.

The Library
Somewhere to unwind and relax.
A little quieter, a little more intimate. The Library is the perfect place to retreat for a drink, catch up with friends or simply take a moment away from the celebrations.

The Drawing Room
Elegant, relaxed and unmistakably Dovecliff.
The Drawing Room is made for lingering. Whether that’s a quiet morning coffee, an afternoon drink or an evening spent together before the party begins.

You have two choices for your dance floor: either The Orangery or The Charrington. (The Charrington will require a dance floor setup)
Fifteen Bedrooms

The Gardens
Surrounded by gardens and the Staffordshire countryside, Dovecliff Hall offers space to breathe, wander and celebrate outdoors.
From photographs to drinks in the sunshine, our Gardens will become a part of your beautiful story.

Our Story
Dovecliff Hall was built in 1790 and has been home to generations of families, including the Thornewill, Bass and Charrington families.
We have so much history here; in fact, two centuries of celebrations and stories are woven into the house.
In 1928 the house was opened as a Hotel but reverted back to a private house when purchased by Colonel Sharpe in 1936 (his portrait hangs to this day in the hotel’s reception) The house was bought and sold several times until in 1987 it was purchased and renamed as the Dovecliff Hall Hotel.
We celebrate over 50 years of hosting Weddings and we would love for you to create your own beautiful beginnings here with us.
